“Tensor Networks: Past, Present and Future”

In this talk, I will give an introduction to tensor network simulation methods as well as an overview on applications. I will revise the origin of these methods from the perspective of quantum information theory, how they can be applied to numerically simulate quantum complex systems beyond the reach of other methods, and how they can be applied in other fields such as machine learning. I will also discuss the future perspective of the field.
